Light

Although pitcher plants are tropical plants and can grow in the sun, they are afraid of strong light. Pay attention to sun protection in summer, and the usual method is to put up a sunshade net. But do not move the pitcher plant directly to a shady place to avoid direct sunlight. If the pitcher plant receives less light, the plant grows slowly, and the pitcher is small or even non-existent, then it is not a so-called pitcher plant.

Water

The growth of pitcher plants requires a lot of water. In summer when the temperature is high, water 2-3 times a day. Spray as much water as possible on the branches and leaves. When the temperature is low, reduce the frequency of watering appropriately and keep the soil moist.

Nutrition

Nepenthes can actually grow well without fertilizer, but fertilization will make it stronger and grow faster. Apply organic fertilizer appropriately, but water in time after fertilization. If you don’t have organic fertilizer, you can also choose ordinary chemical fertilizer, but you should apply it sparingly. Applying too much fertilizer will cause the plants to wither. Or apply leaf fertilizer, which is more effective.

?The blooming of pitcher plants has no ornamental value. The flowers are small and not very colorful. They also emit an unpleasant smell. During the flowering period, it is best to move them outdoors for maintenance. However, it takes several years for pitcher plants to grow before they bloom, so don't worry.

?Nepenthes are vines that need to be attached to grow upright, so you need to build a support for the pitcher plant and choose a larger flower pot for planting. Large and heavy flower pots are more stable and will not collapse easily.
