As a whole, Lotus miltiorrhiza is relatively easy to maintain. In spring and autumn, it can be given sufficient light and watered dry and thoroughly. It can be cultivated in peat soil: coconut bran mixed with perlite at a ratio of 2:1. When the temperature is low in winter, it should be cultivated in Overwinter indoors; its propagation methods are leaf cuttings and branch cuttings, usually propagated in spring and autumn.

Cultifolia is generally easier to maintain. In spring and autumn, it can be given sufficient light and watered dry and thoroughly, occasionally a few days earlier or later. A few days of watering will not have much impact, as long as the soil is loose and breathable. You can use peat soil: coconut bran mixed with perlite in a ratio of about 2:1. The leaf lotus is sensitive to light. If the light is insufficient, the leaves in the center of the plant will easily turn white. If this happens, consider increasing the light appropriately.

Microphylla can withstand low temperatures of about 0℃ in winter. If the temperature is lower, it should be moved indoors and pay attention to heat preservation. In summer, the dormancy of Dendrobium is not obvious, so it is not difficult to spend the summer with proper shade.

Reproduction methods

The propagation method of Lotus densifolia can be leaf cutting or branch cutting. Leaf cuttings should choose thicker and healthier leaves, and branch cuttings can choose their side buds for propagation. The best breeding season is spring and autumn.
