Pot soil: Plastic or porcelain pots with base fertilizer and drainage and breathable soil. Watering: "Don't water if it's dry, water thoroughly." Avoid exposure to the sun after watering. If the temperature is high, spray water frequently. Temperature: between 15-28℃, best in spring and autumn. In winter, the temperature is above 8℃ at night and above 20℃ during the day. Fertilization: Apply decomposed thin fertilizer once a month during the growth period and stop fertilizing during the dormant period.
Breeding method
Cultivation methods
Pot soil
Bing Deng Yu Lu requires soil with good ventilation and drainage and is not easy to clump.
First of all, use water-locking pots made of plastic, porcelain or other materials for planting to ensure that Bingden Yulu can fully absorb water.
Secondly, choose granular soil that is well ventilated and well-drained and is not easy to clump. Add an appropriate amount of peat soil to increase the organic matter content in the soil.
In addition, you can add some base fertilizer to the bottom of the pot to supplement nutrients and make up for the shortcomings of insufficient nutrients in the granular soil.
Watering
Bingdengyulu is relatively drought-tolerant. You can adhere to the principle of "don't water it if it's dry, water it thoroughly" to avoid causing water accumulation in the soil.
Do not expose Bingdengyulu to the sun after watering. It should be placed in a cool place with low light.
Bingdengyulu is not suitable for long-term drought, otherwise the leaves will become shriveled and the leaf color will be dim.
When the air is dry, spray water on the plants and surrounding environment frequently.
Temperature
The optimum temperature for the growth of Bingdengyulu is between 15-28℃, and the best temperature is in spring and autumn. In winter, the temperature should be kept above 8℃ at night and above 20℃ during the day.
Lighting
Bingdengyulu prefers a cool and ventilated environment by nature, and is not suitable for placing Bingdengyulu directly in the sun.
Bingdengyulu should be placed in a semi-shady environment with good temperature and humidity.
Be careful about long-term exposure to high temperatures in summer, otherwise it will easily cause sunburn on the leaves. In other seasons, you should maintain sufficient sunshine to facilitate the growth of Bingdengyulu.
Ventilation
Ventilation is very important for Bing Deng Yu Lu. Ventilation should be strengthened on sultry summer nights.
Plants need to be maintained in a dry place and protected from scorching sun and long-term rain.
Notes
Fertilization h3>
The fertilization time should be in the morning or evening when the weather is sunny.
During the growth period, vigorously growing plants can be fertilized once a month with decomposed thin liquid fertilizer or a low-nitrogen, high-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer. Newly potted plants or weakly growing plants do not need to be fertilized.
At the same time, there is no need to fertilize during the dormant period when the temperature is high in summer or low in winter.
Repotting
The root system of Bingdengyulu will secrete acidic substances, which will acidify the soil and make the roots aging and hollow. It can be repotted once every spring or autumn.
When repotting, cut off the aging hollow root system and shorten the overly long root system. Keep the thick white new roots and plant them in new culture soil.
