Perennial iris
When you see that the underground part of an iris is root-like or rhizome-like, it is a perennial iris. The ratoon iris is a perennial plant with sword-shaped leaves and upright flower stems. The most common ones are German iris, yellow iris, etc. The flowers of German iris are blue, white, purple, etc., and are colorful. And yellow iris is yellow.
There is also a type of perennial iris whose aboveground parts remain green when most varieties wilt due to the onset of winter, so it is called evergreen iris.
Iris bulbs
When When you see that the underground part of an iris is bulbous, it is a bulbous iris. Bulb iris likes warmth, so its cultivation can be promoted in greenhouses. It includes Dutch iris, yellow Denver iris, and reticulum iris, etc. Its colors are blue, purple, white, etc.
The bulbous iris is propagated through seed bulbs. One kind of bulb will bloom after one year of planting, and then it will produce new bulbs, eldest bulbs. Through cultivation, it will bloom again.
