Cultivation methods of seabuckthorn

Light and temperature

Seabuckthorn does not have strict temperature requirements and is extremely resistant to cold and heat, with a minimum temperature of -50°C. It can withstand up to 50℃. Seabuckthorn is a positive tree species that likes sunlight, and the annual sunshine hours are preferably 1500-3300 hours.

Moisture

Sea buckthorn is resistant to barrenness and requires annual precipitation of more than 400 mm. However, it can grow normally if it is planted in valleys or floodplains. In addition, care should be taken to avoid accumulation of water. Water, timely drainage during rainy season.

Fertilization

It should be done during the bud and fruit stages of sea buckthorn. Timely spraying of Zhuang Guo Di Ling can increase nutrients, help prevent flower drop, increase fruit setting rate, and accelerate its enlargement to ensure high quality and high yield of fruit.

Soil

Sea buckthorn has strong adaptability to soil. It is suitable to choose gravel soil, sandy soil, etc. with good air permeability, but avoid soil that is too sticky.

Precautions for Sea Buckthorn Breeding

Prune the tree into shape

When sea buckthorn grows to 2-2.5 When the height is about 1 meter, the top needs to be cut. Cut horizontally rather than straightly, remove the old and keep the new, prune the dense areas, leave the strong branches in the gaps, and prune the bottom well to clear the bottom, so that the canopy will be perfect and the yield will be high.

Pest and disease control

Drying disease is the main disease of sea buckthorn, and common pests of sea buckthorn include sea buckthorn aphids, spring loopers, apple leaf rollers, etc.

For the specific prevention and control of seabuckthorn shrinkage disease, when planting seabuckthorn, disease-resistant varieties should be selected, and management should be strengthened. The soil should be loosened regularly to improve soil permeability and enhance the plant's disease resistance. Chemical control can be carried out starting from late April. Open holes and irrigate 40% carbendazim colloidal suspension 500 times or thiophanate methyl 800 times, once a month for 3-5 times in a row.

For aphid damage, you can spray 10% imidacloprid 2500-3000 times for control. For the damage caused by apple leaf rollers and spring geometrids, you can spray 20% chloride 3000 times liquid, or use 25% chloride 2500 times liquid for control.
