Soil: It is best to use soil with higher permeability, higher humus and nutrient content to grow succulents. Light: sufficient, shade in midsummer, and more sun in winter. Moisture: Water sparingly and water only after the soil is dry. Temperature: It is best to control it within 15-28℃.
1. Soil
1. Soil
It is best to use soil with high permeability and high humus and nutrient content to grow succulents. Specifically, coarse-grained perlite, Northeastern pine needle soil and gravel can be evenly mixed in a ratio of 5:3:1 for succulent culture.
2. Light
Although succulents have certain differences in light requirements depending on the species, in general they still prefer growing conditions with sufficient light. They need to be given enough light in each season, shaded in time in summer, and exposed to more sun in winter.
3. Watering
Succulent The plant has a high water content and can survive without much watering. However, watering too much will cause its roots to rot, so watering should wait until the soil is dry before watering.
4. Temperature
The optimal growth temperature of succulents is 15-28℃. It cannot be lower than 5℃ in winter and cannot be higher than 35℃ in summer. The endurance limit mentioned here is under normal circumstances, and it does not mean that the endurance limit of all succulent species is within this range, so it is better to keep it under conditions of 15-28℃.
5. Precautions
1 , timely top dressing. The growth of succulents is inseparable from the absorption of nutrients, and supplying nutrients requires timely top dressing of fertilizers. The fertilizer needs to be diluted before top dressing to avoid burning the plants.
2. Prevent pests and diseases. Even if the succulent has no signs of illness, we still need to spray it with some medicine to prevent it from getting sick. Mainly use carbendazim and imidacloprid solutions. The concentration should not be too high and can be used once every two months.
