Cultivation methods and precautions for sweet oranges
1. Soil

1. Soil

It is suitable for growing in loose, fertile, well-drained and breathable soil. When planting, you can use leaf mold soil, garden soil and some base fertilizer to prepare the soil. This kind of soil has high fertility and is very suitable for its growth.

2. Lighting

It is a sun plant and needs sufficient light. It can be planted on the balcony or in an outdoor place with good ventilation and light transmission. When the sun is strong in summer, it needs to be properly shaded to avoid affecting its normal growth.

3. Temperature

It is suitable for growing in warm places. The most suitable growth temperature for it in a year is 23-29℃, and the minimum growth temperature is 12.5℃. Shade and cooling are required during high temperatures in summer, otherwise the fruit will stop growing. It also has poor cold tolerance. When the temperature is lower than -7℃, the whole plant freezes to death, so measures must be taken to keep warm in winter to allow it to survive the winter safely.

4. Watering

It likes a humid climate and is not tolerant of drought. Severe drought will stop the fruit from growing. Generally, it is watered as soon as it dries. It must be watered thoroughly to keep the soil in a moist state. However, water should not be allowed to accumulate in the soil, otherwise it will cause leaf fall, fruit drop, and even root rot and death.

5. Fertilization

It requires more nutrients during the growth period, and some fertilizers need to be applied to supplement the nutrients in the soil. Generally, fertilization is mainly based on soil fertilization, combined with foliar fertilization. Seedlings should be fertilized frequently and lightly, mainly with nitrogen fertilizer, and combined with some phosphorus and potash fertilizers, which will be more beneficial to its growth. Generally, fertilizer can be applied 5-6 times during spring, summer and autumn. Adult trees can be fertilized 4 times.
