There are two types of ginseng transplanting: spring planting and autumn planting. Spring planting is carried out in April and autumn planting is carried out in October. Line the pot with broken tiles, then fill it with humus and add a little fine sand. Dig a hole that is high on one side and low on the other, about the same depth as its length. Plant its roots into the hole with the lower side facing it and bury it with humus. Then put it in a dark and humid place. Don't water too much, just keep the potting soil above moist.

1. Transplanting time

Ginseng transplanting is usually done in spring and autumn. Spring planting is usually done in mid-to-late April, before the overwintering buds germinate. Autumn planting is carried out in mid-to-late October and is completed before the soil freezes. Transplanting at other times is not conducive to growth and may also affect its survival.

2. Pot soil preparation

Ginseng has high soil requirements. In addition to good drainage, it must also be loose and fertile. For potted plants, nutrient soil is recommended, but humus soil can also be used. But you need to put tiles on the bottom of the basin to enhance drainage, and add a little sand at the same time.

3. Transplanting

Dig a hole in the soil about the same length as the ginseng, with one side lower and one higher. Place the ginseng inside with the roots facing the lower side. Make it have a certain slope with the soil surface so that it will not hinder the growth of its root system. After planting, cover with potting soil and add a layer of sand.

4. Seedling maintenance

If the soil in the pot is relatively moist, do not water it for a short period of time. If it is dry, you can spray water appropriately to moisturize. Then place it in a dark and humid environment to avoid strong light, as high temperatures will also be detrimental to its growth.
