There are two methods of growing orchids. The first is the sowing method. First, try to choose a relatively tall flower pot with drainage holes, and fill it with loose, breathable and nutritious soil. Then soak the seeds in sodium chlorate solution for seven or eight minutes, then clean and dry them, sprinkle them on the surface of the pot soil, and then cover them with a thin layer of soil. The second method is the division method. After removing the old soil from the mother plant, find the division points and cut them separately with scissors. Then disinfect the wounds and plant them separately.

1. Sowing method
Choose a pot: For planting orchids, you can choose a relatively tall pottery pot with drainage holes to ensure a certain degree of water retention and air permeability. And use clean foam or large-grained gravel to pad the basin. Then fill the pot with soil prepared with fine sand and culture soil in a 1:1 ratio.
Seed soaking: Soak the seeds taken out from the fruit that have not yet cracked in sodium chlorate solution for seven or eight minutes. Then take it out and wash it with clean water, then wrap the seeds in clean toilet paper to absorb the moisture, and place them in the sun to dry.
Sowing: Sprinkle the dried seeds evenly in the pot Then cover the surface of the soil with a thin layer of soil and pour some water to moisten the pot soil.
Conservation: Place it in a well-ventilated place with scattered light, and keep the temperature at about 25 degrees Celsius. Then wrap the flower pot with a plastic bag to keep it warm, and poke a few small holes in it to allow the seeds to breathe. Generally, it takes four to six months for orchid seeds to germinate, so just wait patiently.
2. Division method
When planting orchids using the division method, you need to stop watering in advance to allow the pot soil to dry out. Then carefully take out the orchid plant from its original pot, remove the old soil, comb out the root system, find the branching points and cut them separately with sterilized scissors. After the plants are divided, the old roots, bad roots and diseased leaves of the plant should be cut off, then spray a bactericidal agent on each wound for sterilization and disinfection, and place it in a cool place to dry. After drying, plant them in pots according to the number of three to five plants per pot.
