Soil: Daffodils can be grown in sandy soil with good water retention. Moisture: Water every day at the beginning, and water once every 2-3 days before the flowering period. Light: Place the newly cultivated narcissus in a cool place and move it to a sunny place after 5 days. Temperature: 12-20℃ is appropriate.
1. Soil
1. Soil
Sand cultivation method: Since daffodils like a warm and humid environment, loose and fertile sandy soil with good water retention properties is generally used for cultivation. Pour the washed fine sand into the basin to a height of 3cm from the edge of the basin, bury the bulbs with the outer skin peeled off about 1cm in the sand, and spread a few pebbles on top of the fine sand.
Hydroponics: Pour water that has been placed for a few days in advance into a shallow basin, then ensure that the clean bulbs are submerged by about 1cm, and transfer them to a cool place.
2. Water
Sand cultivation method: When planting with sand and gravel, water it thoroughly in the first time, and water it every day. If the watering is not timely, it will be easy. The lack of water causes flower roots to grow slowly.
Hydroponics: When growing daffodils in water, you need to change the water once a day, otherwise the stems of the plant will rot. Changing the water every day can make the regenerated roots clean and white. When changing the water, you can dry the connected tap water for a period of time 2-3 days in advance to remove residual chlorine and other impurities in the water. Before the flowering period, the water change time can be changed to once every 2-3 days.
3. Light
Just planted For daffodils, you can first move them to a shady place and wait for 5 days before moving them to a sunny place. It is a sun-loving plant, and generally requires 6-7 hours of light per day; if the light is insufficient, it may result in less flowering.
4. Temperature
The temperature for cultivating daffodils should not be too high or too low, generally around 12-20°C. Excessively high temperatures will cause elongated leaves and gray flowers.
5. Precautions
1 2. Fertilization: Fertilize 5-7 days after planting, because the rhizomes have just matured at this time, and fertilization will not damage the roots. Do not change the water within 5-7 days after fertilization, otherwise the soil fertility will be lost.
2. Flowering period: Narcissus can be planted in autumn and winter, and can bloom in early spring; narcissus generally blooms as scheduled in about 40 days after planting, and the flowering period can last almost a whole month.
