1. Soil

It is best to use breathable soil for cultivating silkworms. If possible, it is recommended to use peat soil mixed with perlite cinders to make suitable planting soil. It increases the soil's breathability and drainage strength, which is beneficial to our later maintenance.

2. Temperature

It likes a warm and dry living environment and is not cold-tolerant. The optimal growth temperature is about 15~25℃, but it should be noted that it must spend the winter in an environment above 5℃. In northern cities, try to keep it indoors for the winter.

3. Watering

Pay attention to the influence of seasonal factors when watering. Water a small amount in summer, three to four times a month. At other times, water as soon as it is dry. Water should be poured thoroughly. Water should be poured into the soil and not onto the leaves, which will affect the appearance. Especially during the growth period, adequate water is needed. In winter, if the temperature is lower than 5℃ outdoors, the water should be cut off. Keeping the pot soil dry is beneficial to overwintering.

4. Lighting

In spring and autumn, it is its growth period, and it must be given full sun light conditions. Proper shading is required in summer, using a shade net or moving to a shady location.

5. Pruning

Rolled silk grows quickly and is very easy to grow in groups, so it must be given a certain amount of space to grow. It can be pruned regularly to avoid excessive expansion and difficulty in management.
